Away from the hustle and bustle of city life is a quiet and
tranquil spot tucked away in the Bedok estate. I would recommend this place to
Tourists who are looking for a different experience of Singapore.
Bedok Reservoir is suitable for tourists of all ages,
including those with families. I would list down 5 different activities that
you can engage in which makes it my top offbeat destination in Singapore for
all tourists.

1. Cross Country Jogging
Bedok Reservoir has a 4.3km dirt track around the perimeter
of the reservoir. The distance is suitable even for budding amateurs. In
addition, there are many rest points situated along the track. Joggers can
expect a visual feast of lush greenery throughout the whole route.

3. Reservoir Dining
As quirky as the name goes, the new experience of dining
beside a reservoir would get you going “WAWAWA”! The restaurant features a full
menu of moderately priced western food influenced by German cooking traditions.
The restaurant is also complete with a bar, with cocktails such as the
“Singapore Sling”.

4. Kayaking and Water Skiiing
The tourist looking for a thrill can engage in some water
sports. (Reservations required). Enjoy a great sunny afternoon kayaking around
the reservoir, or a wave smashing time waterskiing.
Kayaking - The Water-Venture (Bedok Reservoir) outlet
provides Kayaks available for rental.
Water Skiiing - The Singapore Waterski & Wakeboard
Federation (SWWF) offers waterskiing courses using Bedok Reservoir.

5. Treetop Obstacle Course
This is something out of the ordinary, Singapore’s FIRST and
ONLY treetop obstacle course. The grand obstacle course features 34 different
obstacles which puts your bravery to the test (not for the faint hearted). The
obstacles are divided into 4 individual sites which end with a big long zip
line to fly over the reservoir.
Specially tailored “kids course” and “mini course” are also
available for children.
