Macau Last Day

On our last day of our travel, we went to the underground shopping complex for breakfast. The Zhu Hai district that we went to was close to the Macau border. All we had to do is to cross two customs.

There was the old custom and the new custom. We were not Locals, hence we have to proceed to the old custom at the Macau border.

As we arrived at 12pm, the queue for the Macau Border was really long; even the custom for foreigners was quite long. We took an estimated 1 hour to travel past the borders. But I guessed even at its "peak" period the most you would take is 1 hour to travel past the customs. This is due to the new border gate, which has 10 rows which are built to speed up the process for

Across the border, we took the shuttle bus to Hotel Galaxy.

In Macau, it is indeed expensive, the price of the food were akin to that in Marina Bay Sands. We however enjoyed the free performances at the hotel.

From the hotel we took the free shuttle buses to the airport.

Shoetrings Travel Tips

  • Compared to Venetian Hotel (on our first day), Galaxy Hotel was far more easier to navigate. All the buses were at a central location, whereas for Venetian Hotel you require to walk through the hotel to another exit
  • At the Galaxy Hotel, there were buses to other parts of Macau and also to other hotels.
